I am getting ready to PAINT my FRONT DOOR and Shutters. I wish to keep my SHUTTERS WHITE (coz I love white!) but I want a NEW COLOR for the FRONT DOOR. Even though it doesn't look like it in the picture (sun shining on roof) I have some dark gray in the roof with Brown.
I believe I want to go more neutral so I am thinking DARK CHARCOAL GRAY or DARK GRAY or DARK Gray-green. Or maybe I will just go with WHITE! I know, it's a lot of white...but I love WHITE! My color accents for my porch pillows and swing cushions will have main color of PINK (with some other color. I am still looking for pillows, cushions yet. My FRONT DOOR NOW is BLUE-GRAY. It's been there for 15 years...Time to change. ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR ME???? I am open to great minds and talents out there!! From one sweetie to another....Roxie
P.s. Please click on photos to make larger...I am working on that improvement

  1. Ciao che piacere.
Hai una casa stupenda , il mio consiglio ?
    Fammi sapere

  2. Hi!
Your home is Fabulous ...Hmmm I think I would go a rich dark color.. A Ebony Black. A High gloss enamel to give it some presence. The high gloss will knock down over time to look like a semi gloss.
I would suggest evergreen topiaries or spiral shape flanking the front doors in dark black urns, zinc containers or square boxes. Texture with dusty miller, kale adding Colour using white Roses and Hydrangeas.
{Pink is pretty but a little to sweet to see from the distance} A pop of white and green is very elegant yet natural.
Just a few thoughts can you see it? Take a photo of your front and print it on paper and draw this in and see what you think!
    Have fun!

  3. Nice to meet you Gail! Thank you for your suggestions and I think they are wonderful! My hubbys choice to me was black just this morning! I do hang ferns around the whole porch and I have been looking for new containers this year. The other ones needed replaced. Your blog is lovely as so are you! Will be checking it frequently! From one sweetie to another...Roxie

  4. Absolutely beautiful home!!~
I would probably do the dark charcoal or even a black.
I think a barn red would look amazing too!! But that's just me:)
Hope you have a lovely week.

  5. Lovin' the look of your home with the farmhouse feel. No suggestions for you. I'm more of a hit and miss decor type. :)

  6. I've seen so many people having drawing for items they've made so I've decided I'd join in on the fun:) All you have to do is go to the Tooth Fairy Pillow Picture and comment on which one you like. Wed. 25th I'll put everyone's name in who left a comment and if I pull your name out I'll let you know and get your address and sent it to you! I'll also put it up on my blog so everyone will know who won. Good luck!

    1. Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I have had a mix mostly black or red. I believe either one would look great but I'm leaning on the black color. I like red but I just finished painting the interior of my house and the rooms were French country colors including "red". I went more white-neutrals so I won't be using red. Again, thanks everyone and I will be showing what I chose in a few weeks! from one sweetie to another....Roxie

  8. Beautiful home! I would go white just because I am feeling summery. I just painted my front door pink so maybe you should listen to the others though, haha.
    Hugs, Pam
