MISS PHOEBE.....you will be missed

                                                           Miss Phoebe

My heart has been heavy these last few days..........so feeling a void in this house because you are no longer with us........
Given to us.....not expecting........you were my sons first dog.  You loved to run like the wind, as so did Corey and those times a Mother would see her son and his dog running through the fields was an everlasting memory.
No, this dog never chased the cat....but wanted the cat to chase her.  Even the neighbors would say, I never seen a dog persuade a cat to play like that!  And they would smile.......
And the first time in 10 years, she finally got a new playmate....Harry.  It was a sight to see them running towards each other when they happened to be out at the same time.  Meeting in the middle of the field, they jumped and played like two youngsters in love......
But overall, you were such a loving dog........always by my side.......loved people and loved attention.  You were a close companion........being there when those months were very lonely......
Sixteen years old is a good life for a little poodle..........God blessed you there........never sick!
Corey and I will miss you girl..........you gave so much to both of us........we will never forget you!

Came to us in ....Dec. 1997
                                     Left us................June 20, 2013

Blessings~~~~Roxie

  2. I'm sorry to hear about your loss, Roxie! I had a pocket poodle when I was a teen and I loved that dog to bits. She was my companion and, as small as she was, my protector. Every time my husband, when he was my boyfriend back then, would kiss me goodbye, she was on his trouser legs in seconds, thinking he was attacking me. I'm glad you have such fond memories of your little friend.

  5. Roxie,
So sorry for your loss. Phobe sounds like she was well love. We just recently lost our 16 year old basset. Time does not make the loss go away it just makes it more tolerable Hope with time you will feel more peace than loss and sadness. I am truly sorry

  6. Sorry to hear about your loss. We lost our Hyko in December, we still miss him. Miss Phoebe will be waiting for you in Heaven. Our loved ones will be there, why wouldn't our beloved pets be there too?? Miss Phoebe gave you lots of good memories. 16 years that is a long time. We had a couple of poodles too, and Hyko was a bolagnese (like a bishon) each doggie has a special place in our hearts. They are never forgotten, just missing from sight.

  7. Aw, Roxie- I am bawling like a baby. We had a little black poodle that looked just like her-ours was named Sugar. My son wore her little collar on his pant's loop for several weeks after she died and it had little tags on it that would "jingle" when she moved. While he was wearing that I would hear that jingle and turn expecting to see her come around the corner and just get a huge lump in my throat. Bless you- I know that she is beyond all aches/pains/illness now-but that doesn't make it much easier, does it? Saying a little prayer for you- xo Diana

  9. Sorry for your loss. We lost our dog of 15 years a few months ago - and even now if we are out, we still anticipate him running to the door to greet us. :(
