Psalm 26:8   Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth

Habakkuk 2:2-3   And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain..........For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come,.........I built my home and it was completed in Spring 1996

The Beautiful one-of -a-kind Mulberry Tree.........when I look at you, memories of my Daddy come to me so strong.  For he loved this old tree and admired it so.  You stand so gracious and proud in his memory.
The times my little boy and sometimes his friends, made you their tree house hide-a-way.  Oh how they loved climbing those low, thick branches and could not be seen for the thickness of the leaves.  You made Coreys childhood so fun...

                                                             A beautiful Fall day

Ecclesiastes 3:1  To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven........

I have so enjoyed my 17 years in my home........being on land that once belonged to my parents, raising and watching my son grow up there.  Wonderful memories of family and friends.  But there are SEASONS in life and  SEASONS mean CHANGE.  My husband of almost 7 years, Ken and I are venturing on a NEW direction for our lives.  We are not sure what the future holds but we know GOD holds our future!
Thank you Lord, for saving my soul, healing my body and giving me the desires of my heart...............I will miss you my Sweet have been a have been "my home".        Roxie

  1. Youe homw ia BEAUTIFUL I can certainly see why you would miss it.. I truly think someonw with a spirit like yours will create a lovely home no matter where you are . I love that mulberry tree. ANd you have pictures and memories to revisit. I think sometimes in certain seasons of our lives GOD is putting us where he wants us. GIVE it all to GOD and he will GUIDE you . I am praying for you ... and I take prayers seriously. I bowed my head at this computer too just now and said a prayer for YOU ... HUGS

  2. Oh Roxie, your home is so so beautiful, love all the vintage finds you decorated with through all the seasons.........Home is where the heart is, you will make your next home just as wonderful, Hugs Francine.

  3. Roxie,
Your home is beautiful I can see where you will miss it. On this new leg of your journey I am sure you will find another beautiful home to make new memories in. I left my beautiful home 5 years ago as my hubby and my journey changed and now we have this new cottage that we are making our home. I raised my two daughters in my past home and lived there for almost 25 years. While I was sad to leave all the memories and the comfort of that home I found another and relized home is where your heart and loves of your life are. I love my new little cottage and love all the challenges and changes this journey has brought. I hope you too will find a special place to make new memories. Thinking about you today my friend.

  4. Beautiful home. Sometimes a new direction in life is a wonderful thing. I think we all look for it at different times in our lives too. God bless you in your new home!

  5. Listen carefully for His voice so you know that you know. Dianntha

  6. Roxie, your home is so pretty, the porch reminds me of my own. Loved the story about the Mulberry tree and your dad. I am not sure what is in store but my wonderful Uncle Don told me years ago "everything happens for a reason, we don't know why at the time, but it does" words he told me at age 12 I have never forgotten.

  7. Always wishing you the best, Roxie.
    Sending some farmhouse hugs,

  8. What a gorgeous place you were blessed with-I pray for this new direction for you to be something that reveals it was the time to make that change.
    Have a wonderful week.

  9. Dearest Roxie - your home is beautiful and I can imagine how hard it is to move away. I am praying that God gives you His peace. Thanks too for stopping to meet Shelby. I have had several German Shepherds and loved them all but Sarge is certainly topnotch and I think he will be a great asset in growing Shelby up. God Bless you and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

  10. Roxie...your home is so beautiful!! I know that you will miss your sweet farmhouse, but I believe things happen for a reason and that God will lead you down the right path for this new season of your life.
We are going through changes here too. My husband is retiring after 33 years in public service, but he has decided to take a new job in the private sector for maybe 5 to 10 years. We have lived in our home for over 20 years, but are thinking that it might be time to down size. Our home was built in the 50's and we have been updating it over the years. We still have some projects that we want to finish and will then be listing our home for sale with the next few years. I have bad knees and the doctor says that it's time for me to move to a home with no stairs.
Change is scary and exciting all at the same time. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

  11. The best of luck and much happiness on your new journey!

  12. Good luck on your new direction. You have a beautiful home, but I'm sure you will have beauty wherever you live.

  13. Wow Roxie, how exciting for you and your family!! But I can see you must be sad to leave your home, you really have built such a beautiful place and I always look forward to the pictures of how you style your home and the fabulous things that you find. Can't wait to hear more about "What's next"!!

    Lots of love x

  14. The hardest parts of life are change. A home such as yours truly feels like a friend and so hard to leave, especially with all your touches along with the memories of family. Best of luck, and hope for your new venture. I think one thing you would love where ever you go,is if you have a friend who paints...a painting of your home.Because it truly is a jewel

  15. I love the sheltering tree. Beautiful thoughts. Praying your change will enable even more growth. I know God never leads us wrong.
