The first weekend in Dec., a QUAINT, HISTORIC TOWN named LEBANON, OHIO has a BEAUTIFUL TRADITION once a year. They have a HORSE PARADE. I was happy to be there this weekend! I believe this is the 24th year.....
They have two shows....one at 1:00 afternoon, and the other in the evening at 7:00p.m. I haven't been in a while and I wasn't disappointed! My hubby has never been, neither my sister-n-law from Calif. or my brother. It was breathtaking! We enjoyed the PARADE so much! There are over 100+carriages/horses!
Doesn't these ladies look beautiful in all their color?
This is the 7:00 p.m. parade......that building in the background with the double white porches is the HISTORIC GOLDEN LAMB INN. There have been more PRESIDENTS stay and visit there than any other INN in the country. Mitt Romney campaigned there recently as many others who are not president.
I'm so happy I live within 25 minutes of LEBANON. It has a FABULOUS mix of BOUTIQUES, ANTIQUE SHOPS, CAFES and so much more! A true HISTORIC MAIN STREET-U.S.A!! I hope you enjoyed the PARADE!
(just a note, all pictures are from the internet and are for public viewing!) Have a wonderful and blessed week! Roxie

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tradition! Thank you for sharing this beautiful parade with us. I need to find some fun small town festivals & things in Baltimore. These are the blessings of small towns. Just curious...were the shops decorated in Victoriana as well?!
