CHURCHES IN THE LANDSCAPE

                       Movie Picture Perfect~~~Just like Mayberry

Shining bright and majestic around the gravel circle driveway

This one grabs my heart~~~all by itself in a field of grass

Beautiful arched windows and corbels~~~~and how pretty the Roses!

                                         precious and simplistic

CHURCHES in the landscape~~~~~Aren't they BEAUTIFUL!  I took these pictures on different road trips over the past few years.  The one thing I noticed after viewing them together.....they all have a white exterior!  That wasn't intentional when I had taken the picture~~~~Obviously, I was drawn to that and didn't realize it.   I would love to know the history on some of these buildings~~~~which one speaks to you?                  Have  a  BLESSED weekend!        Roxie

  2. The second and third photos speak to me. Reminds me of the churches that we see in the hills of Tennessee when we go visit family there.

  6. Each church has its own story to tell, and they are each beautiful ~ I think I would like to visit the "Just like Mayberry" church this fine, autumn day!

  7. I like the first church I think it is because in some ways it reminds me of Poland it's set back and the leaves, I think it was this time of year that we visited another church right up near the Ukraine border. Happy memories XXX

  8. I really like the church in the grass. I like to wonder how many people met their Savior there? Wonderful thoughts, Jean

  9. I have to say that the one with the big gravel circled driveway was my favorite.
I can imagine picnics on the lawn after Sunday service . . .why I can almost smell the fried chicken :)
I also love old white wooden churches. The one that I attended as a child was closed and replaced with a new brick building about a mile away. That was at least 15 years ago, maybe more. I haven't been back in years, so I don't even know if the old church building is still there. It is a place where I felt secure and loved, and the place where I first got acquainted with my dear Lord.

Have a wonderful week and if you read this before tomorrow afternoon (our time) please say a little prayer for my Steve. He is having cataract surgery.

  19. Roxie, I think we love each and every one of them! The one on the grass made our heart skip a beat though!! There is something about these small churches that speak of a time gone by that we love....something is lost in these big 3-D mega-churches today! Thanks for sharing your collected few :) loved them!!

  20. Hi Roxie, I know that I have already left a comment on this post, but I want to add . . .how refreshing it was to see a post with churches instead of goblins. I missed the post with the little vintage trailer "Pearl" . . . what an adorable shop! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for praying for Steve. After the surgery on Monday, we drove home, and then Tuesday we drove back for the doctor to check his work. Even the doctor was amazed at how quickly Steve's eye was reacting to the surgery. He has not seen this clearly in many years :) He was back at work on Wednesday.
I'm delighted that you like the children's hats . . . I like the tassel ones, too. What kid doesn't look cute in a quirky hat.
Thank you again for your prayers.
