Here is another VINTAGE GLIDER hubby and I found 3 years ago at a YARD SALE. It was sitting back and away next to a garage. I asked the man having the yard sale was that GLIDER FOR SALE? His response was Yes, I guess I could sell it. I said, How much? He said "I'll take 2". I said "two hundred?" He laughed and said "NO!, $2.00 (two dollars)
These pictures are after my Hubby restored it. He chose a soft green color. He also painted a VINTAGE METAL CHAIR we had that matched it. These sit on our back PORCH facing our field.
As you can see, we LOVE VINTAGE GLIDERS AND CHAIRS. We use them on our property when guests are here, especially by our BON-FIRES!
These 3 vintage metal chairs are our "FAVORITE" so far. They are heavy-duty and have a more distinct shape. Hubby has not painted any of them. They are as we purchased them....anywhere from FREE up to $10
Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL and BLESSED weekend! From one sweetie to another.....Roxie

Gosh Roxie, They are all wonderful! I love those types of chairs and gliders as that is what my grandma always had on her porch. Every time I see one I am afraid to buy it because I always wonder how strong they are. Now I will have to take a second look for sure! Love the pink swing on your header. Hugs, Pam

Hi Roxie,
ReplyDeleteFirst I want to say thanks so much for your kind comments and wise advice concerning the house, and for taking the time to share your input. It's a difficult situation but we'll work it all out, as I wrote, I'll put it in God's hands.
I love your vintage glider! It's so cute and cottagy, and you made it look really chic. Isn't it so fun to find things for a steal and then glam them up with fun paint colors, etc.
I'm always finding old pieces at the goodwill, etc and painting them.
Have a lovely week!
Jenah
Thanks everyone for the sweet and wonderful comments on my VINTAGE METAL! Always looking forward to visiting my fellow BLOGGERS! From one sweetie to another....Roxie
DeleteI love the glider!! We have one that belonged to my husband's grandparents that I want to restore. Can you tell me how/what your husband did to restore? Ours has a little rust but mainly just layers of paint that need to be removed. I love the color as well - can you tell me what the name of it is! Thanks so much!
