MARIE ANTOINETTE, ROSES AND THE ANONYMOUS TREE

I found this GORGEOUS MARIE ANTOINETTE style PORTRAIT~PICTURE the other day at the GOODWILL! Beautiful Frame, quite large, but not an oil painting. It does have a wood backing on it and very thick! I hung it for now, but don't know if I am going to keep! Any comments?

Here is another picture of my CHURCH FEEDER with the SCARLET ROSES on it....I had to show another picture because the ROSES are going CRAZY BEAUTIFUL this year!

"THE ANONYMOUS TREE"
Also known as....The Broccoli Tree, The Joshua Tree............It has always had a beautiful perfect shape for many years. It looked like a stalk of broccoli when it was young. No one seems to know what it is. I have had nursery men, old timers, anyone that I thought may know, but no answer! Any ideas out there? From one sweetie to another....Roxie

  1. Hi Roxie, The Marie Antoinette you have is wonderful! Can't believe you found this at goodwill! Love it. The roses are just absolutely beautiful growing around your church feeder. And the tree, the tree is breathtaking. I would love to have a tree like that in our yard. An image of perfection. Love it.

  2. Hi Roxie,
That tree is .... amazing isn't a big enough word... WOW! I'm anxious to see pics in the Fall to see what the limbs look like. -- You already know how I feel about that birdhouse with the ramblin rose ...crazy beautiful for sure! It belongs in Birds and Blooms! Have you ever seen a bird in the doorway?
What a cool picture you found! If you don't decide to keep it ... it sure would make an awesome chalkboard. The one in my living room was an old painting and I used the chalkboard paint on it. It's hard to paint over something as pretty as yours though. I know whatever you decide it will be just right!

    1. Lea, actually that was my first thought to chalkboard it...thats why I bought it. The frame is awesome, then I started feeling guilty because the more I looked at it the prettier it became.... there was something about it you couldn't help be drawn to her! Oh well, I will decide something.....maybe fellow BLOGGERS could give me their opinion...leave it alone or CHALKBOARD it?? Roxie
