Meet Mr. and Mrs. Chickens with their two little chicks......YARD SALE FIND.....$12.00 for the whole family

A NEW ADDITION to the PORCH.....VINTAGE GLIDER-SUNBURST DESIGN(rare)...Solid except on front. Hubby will restore and paint(will show pictures when finished) A GREAT BUY for $25.00 at a YARD SALE!

In my Garden, I put this Antique Victorian wire planter. It's in rough shape so I don't mind it in the elements. I have MORNING GLORIES started on it. They will be beautiful soon! I added a WELCOME chalkboard sign too. Can't wait when everything is in FULL BLOOM!

  6. Roxie I love that kettle black color! We have a similar metal door and it needs repainted so badly. Did you have to do anything special before repainting? Please share your how to... coz I really need to do the same thing soon. I'm not sure what color yet...
The swing is gorgeous. We almost bought one similar last summer and didn't and I've kicked myself. But it was ALOT more money. The chickens are awesome and what a deal! I wanna shop where you shop! haha

    1. Lea, I had never used VALSPAR from LOWES before. It was a semi-gloss paint with primer included. It was easy to work with and smooth. It went over a Sherwin-wms paint,a semi-gloss that had been on there for 15 yrs. No peeling or cracking on that paint...maybe thats why the kettle black went on so well?? (I had a gift card from LOWES..thats why I tried this VALSPAR). I also had a brass kickplate at the bottom of door..very lightly sanded so paint would adheave. It did! Other than the kickplate, I just cleaned the door. Hope that helps! Roxie
