A SWEETIE LITTLE VINTAGE CAMPER

                                                                   She is officially mine!
As of today, this little "SWEETIE" is mine!  A rare FLEETWING "WREN"!!  A true canned-ham!
It falls between a 1968-1970.
Fleetwing travel trailers manufactured the "WREN" - a 10 ft. body.  The "CHICKADEE -is the next size,  and the largest of the 3  is the "THRUSH".  They named their travel trailers after birds!  Too Sweet!

I've been looking at different colors and patterns of vintage trailers.  I LOVE this!  This is one of my favorites!  I do think the SCALLOPED look is so unique and pretty......but hubby is wanting me to go a little less "girly"!!  WHAT??!!
So he is showing me pics that he likes..........So I'm sure there will be compromise.  Besides, he is the one doing most of the work......I want him to have some say..............Lord, help me...........

So over the next weeks, I will be doing my best to get pictures to show you some of the renovations and decorating.  My head is spinning with excitement trying to decide what colors (inside and out) style, and challenging myself to stay on a "strict" budget!!  I will be seeing what I already have and can use in this decor rehab!

Well, I'm off working in my yard.  Trying to turn a "very plain" yard into something a little more enjoyable to look at......it's gonna take some time!
I am awaiting news about the paperwork for the vintage camper.  It could take up to 2-4 weeks!  If it is meant to be, everything will fall into place....NO FRET!    Blessings~~~Roxie

THE NAME GAME

Call me crazy, silly as a goose, flyin' by the seat of my pants, spur of the moment, jerk reaction or goofy but I'm committed!...............to this SWEET little lady or fella?  As long as all the paperwork goes through (Ohio requires a title) this little one is mine!
Before I have a nervous breakdown about what I have done, I thought why not have some FUN with this!  I need a name for this "SWEETIE"!
Here goes........I would LOVE for my blogger girlfriends to join in and throw some names in (up to 3 is o.k) for this little trailer!  I think that would be so FUN reading what INSPIRING MINDS have to say!

I'm looking forward to decorating her but hubby says she needs some work but she is do-able for now!  Sooooo, can't wait to see what y'all come up with!  Have a wonderful and blessed week!  From one sweetie to another~~~Roxie

This style is almost identical to the one I may purchase.  About the same condition, but not the color.  A little rough around the edges, but still possesses  the charm.  The one I am looking at is mostly gutted inside.  I don't have a problem with that!

POTTED VINTAGE WICKER BABY BASSINET

This is a picture of my PINK VINTAGE WICKER BABY BASSINET potted with fern and a mix of flowers.
I have been setting up vignettes all week for a tea at my church and used my VINTAGE BABY BASSINET for one of the displays.
When I found this at a thrift store some months ago, I couldn't believe the excellent shape this was in.  It is much prettier in person, for the bassinet is QUITE LARGE, has a bonnet frame on it, and a sweet handle to move it around with ease.  ORIGINAL COLOR is outstanding!
It sits in my office/craft room and I store layers of VINTAGE fabrics in it.  It has become a SWEET FAVORITE FIND of mine with multi uses!  I LOVE it!  And the best thing is...........I paid a whopping $20 for it!  It's a KEEPER!

This is what it looks like by itself.  Not that I'm into vintage baby things, but this was too beautiful!  The best part, it has been so useful in many ways!  Do you have a find that has turned out to be a favorite or useful in ways you didn't expect?  I'd LOVE to hear about it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

Today is May 11, 2013.  This is a "special day" for my family.  It is my Mothers Birthday!!  She wouldn't want me to say this but she is 80 years young today.  Yes, she is 80! (and she has never had a touch up of anything!!) This picture is less than 3 yrs old and it deplicts her very well.  She enjoys life and loves to have good, clean fun!  She is from a family of 11 children.....1 of 8 girls.  It's always a HOOT when she gets together with her sisters!

My Mother and I are headed to a Ladies Tea (2 yrs ago) at my church.  We had a wonderful time!  This is a very memorable time for me with my Mom.

RE-PURPOSED ANTIQUE BARN DOOR

I found a Vintage wrought iron table last year with no glass top at a yard sale.  I thought its design was very interesting.  Somewhat of a contemporary-industrial-modern look?  It was BRIGHT Yellow!  (had to paint that)
 Then I found just a few months ago, an antique barn door with a latch.  VERY sturdy, with  wide tongue and groove and sweet white paint in its natural state.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking.....no, it's really not practical for children but for an enclosed area, like a porch or sun room, it looks soooo FARMHOUSE SWEET!!

    All this table needs is "sweet" chairs to go with it!   Hubby did a wonderful job putting it together.  I have had a lot of compliments on it.  It is  "UNIQUE ORIGINAL"
I am going to sell it if anyone is interested!  Be BLESSED and have a WONDERFUL weekend!   Roxie

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

Today is the NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER.  I believe this year is more URGENT to pray for our nation than ever before.  I know, some will not agree, but our NATION is in trouble.  Great trouble.
     We can go back to the sixties and see how as a nation, as a people, things have steadily worsened in many different areas for us.  Not all areas, but many.
   GOD, HEAR my Prayer!  FORGIVE us for our sins! Have MERCY for this NATION....for those who LOVE you and BELIEVE in your WORD.
    We have taken PRAYER out of our schools, homes and communities.  We (as a nation) have murdered innocent babies for which we will stand judgement.  I pray for our President and the leaders of our country that decisions that are made will be guided by you and only you!  HEAR OUR CRY, have MERCY on us!  HEAR the voice of your servants.  We know, those that BELIEVE on you, YOU are with us.
     AMERICA needs you, Lord!  We are NOTHING without you!  You have BLESSED this NATION because we have BLESSED your people of ISRAEL.
    We THANK you Lord for EVERYTHING you have done for this NATION!  Every Blessing, everyday of PROTECTION.  We know you are the author of everything good, not evil!  We cry out to you like never before....I will no longer be silent......TIME IS SHORT!  Convict us, of our wrong and let us STAND and be BOLD for you!
For Lord, you promise in your WORD, you will BLESS those who walk in your ways.  You are GOD and the only GOD of this world.  You sent your only begotten Son, Jesus who died for our sins.
    We will not stop PRAYING for our NATION and our families.  THANK YOU, LORD for every prayer you have answered.  This NATION NEEDS you now like never before  and I will continue to THANK you and PRAISE your HOLY NAME!
