PUNKYVILLE

On a little day trip with "The Girls" a few weeks ago, we came upon a place called "PUNKYVILLE"

We met this wonderful, kind gentleman nicknamed "PUNKY".  For years, he has been re-creating a town on his large property of the "GOOD OLE DAYS".  He has been collecting for years and has one the most extensive collections of Antiques I have ever seen in one place.

Each  building is filled with antiques and set up like it would have been it those days.  So much hard work and detail has been put into this "little town" that Mr. Punky loves.

Each business was so unique!  The Dr.'s dentist was  unreal.  Period dental instruments, chairs, medicine, such a sight of interest to see.  The farmer/traders bldg was awesome too.

This jail and Justice of the Peace was neat.  There were two original sets of bar cages and door from a real jail  in that time period.  Also on the property, were a POST OFFICE, and a CHURCH.  I LOVED the inside of the CHURCH.  Unfortunately, my camera went dead before I could take more pics!

Mr. Punky told us girls, a film production company was coming the next day to look at his little town to possibly use some of the buildings/scenes for a christian film.  He was so pleased!
If you are ever in Kentucky on Rte 27, South of Falmouth , you will run into PUNKYVILLE!  It was very cold the day we stopped in, and I would have loved to linger more.....

SWEET VINTAGE BEDROOM

I posted about this ANTIQUE  IRON BED a few weeks ago.  I found it at a YARD SALE for $60.00.  It came with the original metal spring mattress base (not shown).  I'm trying to decide what to do with it~~~so I looked up BEAUTIFUL BEDROOMS decorated with an ANTIQUE  IRON BED........
