PICKIN' GOODIES

Thought I would post a couple of vintage/antique goodies I found on the #127 longest yard sale...

                 A great chicken nesting box~~~~A 21 Hotelier!

This antique wood door came out of an 1850's brick schoolhouse.  I'm sure the door was added later (with sign).  It has original knobs (both sides)and side hardware.  The glass was in the door when brought out to sell....the wind blew the door over and well......the glass broke.  BUT because of that, I got a great deal!

Sweet finds~~~Be Blessed.......Roxie

  1. Those are both really great finds! Love that door and would surely find a place for it. The old roosting coop has several things that come to mind for storage. I hope you have a great weekend. xo Diana

  2. Cool finds! I can think of many ideas for the chicken coop boxes. You might even want to keep them for a storage wall in your green house. String, wire, hand tools, labeling material, storage for seeds and bulbs, etc. Oh, I can't say enough about how happy I am that you are back blogging again :)

  5. Your door is charming. Always fun to imagine who used old doors like that. How many people walked through them? Oh, if only they could talk. have loved vintage doors and windows before they were a trend. Antique nesting boxes are wonderful too.
